I like the baser models with the steel rims and tires sized for normal people. And four doors.

Friends don’t let friends spec color-matched roofs.

I don’t know, man - look at the gap under the fender here.

Needs at least 32s or 33s.

Steelies are good, though.

I hope it looks better in person

Give me the four-door, with the subdued steel rims. It’ll look fine. Robust, sensible daily driver. Those wheels are probably already an inch or two taller than an old school grocery-getting wagon would be.

So, zero need for an old school 4x4, then?

I think the 2 door is the looker of the bunch.

What do you dislike?

Well, I’m not sure what you mean. I am partial to plain, base-model cars and trucks. If I bought a Bronco, I’d pull my tent trailer with it, but 95% of its miles would be on hard surfaces, with the occasional trip up a jeep trail where 4WD was required, and a bulldozer was not needed to be on hand for recovery. No Rubicon Trail for me.

Why is the rear bumper merging with the rear wheels? I didn’t realise non- Newtonian geometry was a option for the Bronco. That is a very solid USP, the Wrangler doesn’t offer that, nor does the more expensive Defender.

Nice, I do love blue on SUVs and 4x4s.

I think those are actually aluminum wheels designed to look like steelies.

As long as the 4x4 would get a little use from time to time!

But honestly, seems like something else would be a better solution.

That said, you should get what you want.

Ha! These clearly weren’t ready for prime time.

Is it just me, or is it slightly odd that the door looks closer to the rear wheel, than the front wheel, and the cabin behind the seats looks shorter than the hood in front of the windshield.

Those dimensions, along with the roof height above the hood, just give it a bit of an odd proportion.

Not horrific or anything, but not cubist and minimal-length-possible like a Wrangler, and not long enough to be practical like anything other than a Wrangler, appearance-wise... Defender 90 seems like it would be longer.

I realize that the roll structure prevents it, but I almost wish it offered a Hummer H-X concept slant-back option.

Profile view definitely isn’t this base version’s best angle...

The 2-door is 7” longer than a 2-door Wrangler.

And if you lined them up based on the driver position based on the steering wheel and seat, I wonder if that 7 inches is on the front or the back...
